Can we reenable symlinks in ST3

Can we reenable symlinks in ST3

Postby pragdave on Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:50 am

In many of our git-based projects, we use symlinks to share common subtrees, both between projects and even within projects.

With the old behavior, these symlinked subtrees just appeared when I edited the directory. Now I think I have to create a sublime project for each actual project, which is really quite inconvenient.

If you don't want to enable it, could it be made a global option, and not just a project option?

Thanks

It's an option you have to enable for your project. I remembered seeing this back on the blog post for ST3.
Projects: When adding folders to the sidebar, symlinks are not followed by default. This can be changed by enabling follow_symlinks in the project

Right, but that is on a project-by-project basis, I believe.

I'm hoping for a global setting.
