I just decided to try out Sublime Text 3, having paid for and used Sublime Text 2 for the last couple years. On Sublime Text 2, when I opened an html tag and pressed enter (without closing the tag), Sublime Text 2 would automatically indent my text and it was beautiful; I just didn’t think about indenting while on coding. It looks like Sublime Text 3 lacks this small but awesome feature. I just looked at my packages and settings from Sublime Text 2 and nothing looks drastically different. In fact, Sublime Text 3 has auto-indent and smart-indent as true but it doesn’t seem to be working. Is there something else I can change or look at to get back this feature?

Works for me. You have to set View -> Syntax -> HTML

I can confirm that this is not working in ST3 3092.
