Wildcards in "Goto Anything" searches

Wildcards in "Goto Anything" searches

Postby jdc0589 on Fri Jun 03, 2011 2:42 am

Allow the use of the wildcard operator ' * ' in goto-anything searches.

Example -
Search string: *.template.*
Results: ["form.template.html", "index.template.html", etc..]

The only editors I have used that support this for a similar file search feature (really identical) is all of the jetbrains IDE products. It is INCREDIBLY useful, I find myself using it easily 50 times per day in large projects!

I believe you can simply put a space instead of the asterisk... not sure about it anymore now :-p

Good call, that seems to work. Little weird that it doesn't just use the standard asterisk thought...pretty widely accepted for this type of notation

Yea, im seeing this now. Just wasnt obvious at first for someone who is used to doing things a certain way with jetbrains products (uses asterisks)
