Feature Request: Slight change to Goto File

Postby gazliddon on Tue Jul 05, 2011 1:02 pm

I had a quick search for this on the forum and couldn't find anytyhing but apologies in advance if someone else has already requested it.

On Textmate I use quick open (apple T) a lot which is practically identical to Sublime's Goto File.

Something I really like that's subtly different from Sublime 2's implementation is that the list of files in the dropdown box are the last x buffers you have visited.

This makes it very easy to quickly switch between a few files very quickly.

I really miss this on Sublime Editor 2, any chance of adding it?

Is there a way of implementing this myself as a plug-in? I had a quick look at the plug-in pages and there didn't seem to be a way to do this.

Apart from that I really like this editor a lot and am particularly appreciative that it is under constant active development. Keep up the good work :D

I use <Command-t> <enter> to jump back to the previous document – an old TextMate habit. It would be nice to replicate this in Sublime Text 2, or at least map some keypress to jump to the previous document. Does anyone have a workaround?
