Project scopes

#1

Sometimes I’d like to be able to search the rails source with Command-T and sometimes it’s clutter. What I’d like is for a way to quickly include and exclude the rails source from my project. I think it would be nice to be able to add a scope to my project for rails, that can easily be activated or deactivated in the sidebar, and that I can attach directories to (the default would be all scopes). When I activate the scope it would show the rails directory under directories and make it searchable with Command-T. When I deactivate the scope it would hide the rails directory under projects and Command-T would no longer search within it. I’m picturing it as being another top-level node alongside FOLDERS in the project bar that only shows up when a scope is added to the project.

…but I’m sure there are plenty of other ways a set of directories could be toggled on and off. Just one idea of how it could be designed, should it be a common enough use case.
