There is a similar suggestion for the sidebar (Function list in the sidebar) but I thought I’d create a new one that is a little bit different:
It would be great to have a function and class list at the bottom of the screen like Textmate had. I know we have Command-P with @ (and Command-R) and those are wonderful, I use it daily, but it would be really nice to have the program show you what function you are currently in when editing. I don’t think that functionality exists now and an easy way to do that would be the function list at the bottom, it can double as a notice and also allow you to navigate to other functions from there.
