Hi, I would like to see support for the linux selection buffer in plugin development.

I made this pastebin-sublime-plugin that makes an instant paste of your file. However, when I want to paste anything in IRC (or any other terminal based application for that matter), I have to go to a gui application with a text field, press ctrl + v, select the text, and THEN paste it. This process could be easily shortened, by allowing plugins to write input to the selection buffer. Maybe even have the current clipboard function just write to both of them, although I don’t really know if that would cause any kind of screw ups, it really just would be a nice feature to have available to you as a developer.
