yeah, that would be a very cool feature! just like chrome does, pin tab is very useful, and I think it has to be shrinked like in chrome when being pinned.

just hope the developer of sublime could think about it seriously, or somebody can create a plugin for this functionality.

LockTab is available in the package control: a shortcut to put the tab into a "locked" state, tab can't be closed (dialog optional) until unlocked, no visual tab shrinking/reordering.

Locking is nice... but to shrink them too, would be nicer.
