Hipster Ipsum

Hipster Ipsum

If you were into Lorem ipsum before it sold out and have been looking for something to fill the void, Hipster Ipsum is your new bicycle. Pull bespoke filler text from Hipster Ipsum, via the Hipster Jesus API, and have it Occupy Sublime.

While I'm messing around with Sublime, here's a silly little Subliminal interface to Hipster Ipsum. It's been submitted to Package Control, and lives on GitHub for the moment.

Install it, then press Ctrl+Alt+H to insert some Ipsum text. If you select a number between 1 and 99 in the buffer before invoking the shortcut, it'll replace the selection (or selections) with that many Ipsum paragraphs. You can also type "hipstum" and press tab to run the plugin, though I'm somewhat concerned that including this will slow down input. Disable it by editing the keymap file.

I had a snippet for this before it was mainstream.

Just a quick note that I've ported this to ST3. Since ST3 no longer bundles urllib2, it now uses the Requests library to grab the data. You can grab it at Github.
