Sytax highlighting inside HTML strings?

Sytax highlighting inside HTML strings?

Postby Anomareh on Tue May 11, 2010 2:24 am

I've been messing around with adding highlighting support for a language. It imports the HTML syntax highlighting and I'm trying to figure out how to get it to look for matches in HTML strings.

I'm not really familiar with how TextMate / Sublime go about adding support for languages. I was wondering if someone more experienced could help me out?

I tried looking through the PHP and HTML language files to see if I could pick up on some things and piece something together but I haven't been able to get anything to work. Is it even possible to have a language that imports the HTML syntax rules to look for matches in HTML strings? Or is the only solution going to involve editing the HTML syntax rules? If so, how would I go about getting it to work anyways?

Thanks to anyone that can offer some help.
