Notification of completion list insertion

Is it possible, for a plugin, to be notified when text is inserted using the completion list?

I'm coding a completion plugin and would like to do additional operations after the token is inserted.

As far as I'm aware, there is no eventlistener for the autocomplete list. Sorry. But I'd love to be proven wrong...
