Project Management

#1

Hey all,

I seem to be having a bit of trouble handling projects. If I want to open a folder in its own, stand-alone window, I have to create a new file, drag it out to make a new window, and then choose add folder to project. Is there a faster/simpler way to do this? (such as allowing File->Open allow you to open directories?)

Some options are:

  • Press Command+Shift+N to open a new window, then drag a folder in from Finder, or use Project/Add Folder to Project
  • Use the subl command line tool with -n
  • Using the current Dev Build, drag the folder onto the dock icon

This is a little bit of an annoyance for me, too. I feel like there should be an option for defaulting to opening a new project (or is there already?).

In the current dev builds (sublimetext.com/dev), folders dragged onto the dock icon are opened in a new window by default
