Menu Customization

Menu Customization

Postby lunixbochs on Sun Jul 24, 2011 10:07 pm

When I found Main.sublime-menu, I couldn't resist going through and redoing it.

Here's my menu layout.

I removed almost every item I used exclusively via hotkey, renamed a few things, flattened several of the menus, and reordered to fit my train of thought. I also used a plugin to give me a single Ruler toggle menu item.

Has anyone else tried this? Any thoughts?

I think it's going to get overwritten when you upgrade, so keep a backup somewhere. I found this if you want to combine the default menu with your own custom menus - works well once you wrap your brain around it (look at the code sample in the first post):

I actually removed Default/Main.sublime-menu and put my own in User/, so I can just delete the main one to reapply my menu at any point
