so the expand to scope works well some of the time (for instance in array literals etc.) and then some the rest of the time it just seems to jump to selecting everything in the file.

I guess this is a problem with the .tmlanguage file, but its rather impenetrable at first glance so I would appreciate pointers on what I need to look for to fix this problem.
