The transpose command, unwanted behavior

#1

I bound ^T to “transpose” but it does the wrong thing sometimes. When the cursor is after a space, it swaps the two surrounding words. But this is never what I want. I’m used to emacs having transpose(char) and transpose(word) separately. I often type things like “th etree” and to recover, want to put the cursor after the space and use the “transpose” command to make it “the tree”. ST2 assumes I want to do words there. Is there more than one transpose command? Or a macro that does only transpose characters and never does words? I guess I would bind it to that key… Thanks.
