Unindent (Shift + Tab) deletes the selection

Unindent (Shift + Tab) deletes the selection

Postby aple on Tue Sep 06, 2011 11:12 pm

It works when I have the text selected and go to Edit > Line > Unindent, but when I use the shortcut, it simply deletes the selection.

It will insert a tab unless there's a newline in the selection. You can control this with the shift_tab_unindent file setting.

Where can I find a list of these settings? I'd really like to trick out ST2 to my tastes without bugging you guys all the time. :)

Btw, saw this: http://www.sublimetext.com/docs/2/tab_completion.html
"To insert a tab rather than a completion, press shift+tab."

Is Shift + Tab being used for too much?

Take a look through the default file settings via "Preferences/File Settings - Default"

Oh dear lord. :)

Ok, how about tweaking tab completion and zen-coding. That'll keep me busy for a few weeks.

Btw, I don't have $60 to lay down, you accept monthly payments of $10? :)

I don't even think I get anything extra for it do I? I just like the software and want to support it, but as long as I'm supporting it I want to get rid of the "Would you like to Register?" popups. :)

Here is a price-related discussion.
I'll quote my answer from there:

If you are a programmer, probably your average income is over $1500 (or 1000e if you are in EU). So I guess $60 is a reasonably price.
