Column selection via keyboard

Hi guys,

is there a way to do column selection via keyboard? I know i can do it by pressing the middle button on the mouse but that's rather uncomfortable.

On Editpad you press ALT when doing the selection.

use: ctrl+alt+arrow up/down to expand the cursor, then use the normal selection techniques (shift, arrows, etc.)
