Dev Build 2131

Dev Build 2131

Postby jps on Thu Oct 06, 2011 1:56 pm

Dev Build 2131 is out now. The major change is that side bar animations are back, and they're working in a more usual way.

I've added a global setting to disable all UI animations ("animation_enabled"), but it's currently a hidden setting not listed in the defaults, as it really does disable all animation, which I suspect is not quite what everyone wants (e.g., animation on new tabs is disabled, as is animation when dragging tabs around).

For those who aren't keen on the UI animation in general, I'd like to hear if you only want to disable the side bar expand/collapse animation, or all animations.

Thank you for this update!

ESC works but now you have to hit it twice (you should only have to hit it once). When you have something highlighted you are in "VISUAL LINE MODE" hitting ESC puts you in "VISUAL MODE" (everything is still highlighted) hitting ESC one last time finally puts you in the correct state "COMMAND MODE" where it un-highlights everything.

Personally, folder animation look kind of too slow to me, in case when there are less than ~5 sub-items within a currently expanded/collapsed folder. Also, as a whole, folder animations are kind of irritating in a sense that navigating deeply nested tree becomes noticeably slower.

Thanks for the update & all your hard work on the app, I really love it, but not today. It has crashed over 10 times after doing nothing out of the ordinary & my settings are not working. Each time I start the app it changes to use the Monokai theme, then when I change it, the app deletes all of my user prefs except the new colour scheme. I experienced this with some older builds but it has not happened in ages. Do you know why it might be doing this?

BTW, as an example, my indent guide settings are:

Code: Select all

but they are notworking correctly.. see this: http://cl.ly/AlKY

Agreed on the animations - I hated the slide-in from the side, but unrolling looks natural and I no longer care if it can be disabled.

Reindent is still broken.. :(

Code: Select all
{ "keys": ["ctrl+shift+."], "command": "erb" },
{ "keys": ["ctrl+'"], "command": "toggle_quotes"},
{ "keys": ["super+alt+b"], "command": "blame" },
{ "keys": ["super+shift+o"], "command": "prompt_open_folder"},
{ "keys": ["ctrl+d"], "command": "diff_views_mark" },
{ "keys": ["ctrl+shift+d"], "command": "diff_views_execute" },
{ "keys": ["ctrl+alt+super+["], "command": "reindent" },
{ "keys": ["super+="], "command": "alignment" }

Hi, I would like to disable "side bar expand/collapse animation". Other animations are fine for me.
Thanks for asking.
