Hi, i really want to know in which language Sublime Text is programmed, and which GUI library he use (GTK+, GTKMM, …).

It is programmed in Python, though I’m not sure which GUI library, I would like to know that too.

And you are saying that because… ?

Jon said is programmed in c++ and small parts of obj-c for osx version.

Jon has also mentioned in the past that the GUI toolkit is custom-built. He codenamed it “Hydra”. Back in 2010 he announced he would make a post on the technology underlying Sublime Text, but I have the feeling ST2 snowballed on him  Maybe he’ll find time to write about the ST3 implementation some day, but it will be hard to keep up with the codename’s coolness. For the extremely curious, you might be able to dig up a longish forum post of his on character rendering.

Still planning to! I’ve got it in my mind to do it after 2.0 is released.

I thought it was because with the windows version, there is evidence that py2exe has been used.
