I am using Sublime to edit files over SSH shares which I have connected to using Gnomes “connect to server” (uses Gvfs). They show up in open dialog under bookmarks as I have saved them as such. However when I have file open from one of such shares and I open open file dialog, the dialog shows recently used files instead of directory which contains the current file.
