After Jon, I've probably spent the most time tinkering with Sublime and at some point I plan to share all the insights I have gleaned; the HOWTOs, DOs and DONTs of customization. Steve Cooper, VIM and EJ12N, to name a few, are also customization savvy so maybe they can help you out sooner than I. But this much I can say. "Your patience will be rewarded." Sublime is very much customizable, you can setup different themes per file type, all the keybindings are fully customizable. You can easily write little commands with python. It even has the (currently undocumented) ability to emulate VIM modes.
Ya like he said, it has A LOT of hidden gems, what you see normally when you download it is just the tip of the iceberg but once you get to see the whole thing you'll be amazed and asking urself how u could survived without it lol
But yes is a simple question but the answer is COMPLEX, but like sublimator said, your patience will be rewarded!
I believe Jon was working on a FAQ too...
