Please add to the html.sublime-snippet. It’s pretty bad to have a skeleton that defaults to a code that triggers quirks mode. Gives bad example.

If you use the Zen coding plugin, typing html:5 autocompletes to a skeleton with that doctype. Not sure if that helps.

+1 agree, it should be default in the HTML snippet as I find myself having to do both quite a lot in my HTML files
