Language auto-loading?

#1

Regarding this thread: How to create a new language?

I’m working on a few customizations to some languages, and it’s a bit bothersome to close/reload Sublime to have the edits appear. Jon, you mentioned that it you would take a look at having the languages autoload, what was the result of that?

Can you go in to a bit more detail? I’ve just started using Sublime so I’m not sure of what you’re referencing.

If you edit and then save a tmLanguage grammar file, any open tabs using that grammar will be updated and reflect the changes without a restart.

There is, however, a bug where if there’s an error in the syntax file (it’ll show you in an error dialogue box) it’ll stop hot loading and it will require a restart of Sublime(At least there was when I played with it a little while back)

On saving, it should say something alongs the lines of “Generating Syntax Summary” in the console (ctrl+` to open)

Low priority, but it would be great to see the bug castles mentioned fixed.
