OS X: text rendering issues

#1

There is a bug with glyph rendering on OS X. For example, when using a dark theme and Monaco font at 12pt, the “n” letter often looks cut off at the right side:

This sometimes happens with other letters, too (I’ve seen d getting cut off, m looks a bit weird in the example). Terminal and TextEdit (and I think everything else) render the letter just fine, so it must be a ST2 problem:

Please fix this, it’s very annoying to look at.

This is fixed in the current dev build

I’m seeing a different text rendering issue on OS X build 2168. Whenever I use column select, the text I’m selecting degrades quite a bit.

What I’ve noticed is that the degradation is worst with the top most lines and gets better towards the later lines. The more lines I select, the worse the degradation for the top most lines.

As described in the dev build thread, that’s a known and unrelated issue. It’ll be fixed in the future.
