Currently, when I open a file and make no changes to it, no new tab is set.
Where do I change the setting so that when I open a file, its tab is always created where I edit the file or not.

Where do I change the setting so that when I open a file, its tab is always created where I edit the file or not.
Just double click the file in the sidebar. No tab is set on a single click because the file is merely a “preview.” This way you can look at the contents of a file without opening it.
