Word wrapping goes wrong on Chinese/Japanese characters.

Word wrapping goes wrong on Chinese/Japanese characters.

Postby be5invis on Tue Feb 14, 2012 5:46 am

Here is a problem detected by me, in sublime2, word wrapping is wrongly proceed when meeting Chinese characters. In Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, each Han character is normally considered a word, and therefore word wrapping can usually occur before and after any Han character. However, in sublime, the break occurs on spaces (between western and Chinese words), makes one line extremely short.

(correct)
[][][][][][] western [][][][][][][]
[][][][][][]
( [] for chinese character)

(what Sublime displays)
[][][][][][] western
[][][][][][][][][][][][][]

And there are some special rules processing Asian punctuactions, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_break ... n_language. For example, full stops ([。] 句号/句点) should not occur at the start of lines.

Maybe currently all chinese characters (above U+3000) can be regard as a "punctuation". (like a dot or comma).

Yes, we are establishing a bulk purchasing activity. This bug is really annoying.
