Won't open

#1

Now I’ve done it. I was goofing around changing the theme color for both md and txt formats, and somehow I blew it up. I click to open the app now, and it doesn’t open. The last error I saw was something to the effect that there was no data in plain text.sublime-settings:1:1. I opened that file in Notepad, copied in setting from another theme, but no dice.

Any clues as to how to proceed?

thanks

You can try a full revert: sublimetext.com/docs/2/revert.html

I don’t have a Data folder. If these instrux mean to say the User folder under Packages, I tried deleting it and restarting, but no go.

My folders (Win 7) are like so:

Sublime Text 2
–Installed Packages
–Packages
–Pristine Packages
–Settings

Make a back-up of, and delete:

%APPDATA%\Sublime Text 2

Typing that in an explorer bar should take you to that folder.

That will revert that same folder to a fresh-install state.

Sublime Text 3 Crashes on Startup

I’m working on that now. Am struggling with “permissions” to delete the app directories, even though I’m the owner and sole user of this computer. MS not making it easy for me at the moment. I’ll figure it out. Thanks.

Before thinking Sublime is not opening files or folders, make sure you double check that the Sidebar is not just hidden.

View > Sidebar > Show Sidebar

The shortcut key on mac is while holding down the ‘command’ key, hit K then B.

You may be opening the folder but the default view has no files open, and the Sidebar is not showing either.

Hope this helps some people!
