Highlighting the content of inner-brackets

#1

Is it possible to highlight the region of the inner-most set of matched brackets? e.g. do something like the attached mockup?

I’ve seen some VIM themes that seem to do something like this, but it’s not clear to me that thThemes/Sublime supports something like it. I have a feeling it’s not, and this will turn into a patch/request for the HighlightBrackets plugin, but I figured it’s better to see if it’s possible to do natively first.

Oh, that would be awesome. A very subtle change of background.
I always liked how xcode highlight brackets on hover over gutter…

This could easily be added to the BracketHighlighter plugin, but there would be a downside. The way ST2 regions work, when you highlight the region, you loose the syntax highlighting of the text.

Quick and dirty addition to BracketHighlighter.

Oh that’s too bad… well, I suppose that lands this in the wish category then. It would be interesting to see how this feels in practice, but I have a hunch there’s plenty of higher priority wishes laying around .
