I’m trying to create a new file within Sublime Text 2 and everytime I create the file it’s not giving me an option to give the file a name there and then. I have to actually file save as to give it a filename.
Am I missing something?

Bump.
I have the same issue. And I’ve talked to others who get the option of naming the file before it’s opened up in a new tab.
When I right-click my folder in the side-bar, select new file, a new tab is opened and the tab is titled “untitled” automatically.
Anyone got a solution for this issue?
ST2 build: Beta, dev 2181
OSX 10.7
Install Sidebar-Enhancements. Then press control-t for a new file. Gives a prompt and saves in current dir.
Thanks COD312 for your quick reply.
Was hoping that this function was default or an option to enable within ST2, but I’ll give Sidebar-Enhancement a try.
