Vintage mode not working

#1

Sublime Text 2 build 2181 linux 64bit

I’ve followed the doc sublimetext.com/docs/2/vintage.html to enable the vintage mode without any success.

None error is reported on the console.

If you’re using a recent version of ST2, the Global and File settings have been merged into Preferences.sublime-settings.

Thanks a lot.

In fact there are two places where ignored_packages setting is set:

  • Preferences -> Settings - Default

  • Preferences -> Settings - User

So, Vintage has to be removed of the list ignored_packages in both files.
After it works.

No, that is not necessary - at least not for me. Just make sure to have an empty “ignored_packages”: ] entry in your user settings file.

FWIW, settings in the User package always take precedence and therefore overwrite default/any other settings files. In fact, if you edit the default settings files (Packages/Default), next time you update ST your changes will disappear.

Read up on settings here:
