Cancel a Find in Files search

#1

It doesn’t seem possible to terminate a long-running ‘Find in Files’ search. I expected that closing the Find Results buffer would kill the search process, but if you open the console you can see it is still running. I tried typing ‘exit()’ into the console, and that hung the program … while that behavior isn’t totally unexpected, perhaps it should carry out the regular close program functions. Finally, a progress bar/percentage would be a welcome addition to the Find panel.

I also would like to know how to do this.

Yes I was wondering this myself. There should be some indication of a Find in Files currently in progress and a means to stop it.

I agree. It’s very confusing! It would also be nice to know how long the process took.
