20091010 Beta

#1

20091010 is out, mostly a collection of small requests, but I also added something I’ve been meaning to for a while: Ctrl+D (expand selection to word), rather than doing nothing if a word is already selected, will instead add the next occurrence of the word to the selection. It’s handy for renaming variables, for one thing.

The OpenGL renderer has received some quality improvements too, so there’s more reason than ever to use it now.

ctrl+d acts funny… it is a nice feature, but try this, paste this to anew file:

abc abc abc abc abc abc abc abc abc abc

now put your cursor on the 3rd line, and start hitting that ctrl+d. after reaching to the top of the file again, it stops… why?

abc abc
abc abc
abc abc
abc abc
abc abc

Good find - I don’t think it’ll impact most uses of ctrl+d, but I’ve added fixing it to the todo list in any case.

any reason to prefer opengl if directx works fine?

If you have no issues with the DirectX renderer, then it’s best to stick with it - there’s still a remaining issue with visual quality and the OpenGL renderer.
