Allow Plugin API ability to manipulate Sidebar

#1

Please get the hooks in to manipulate the Sidebar, so someone can develop a plugin for the purposes of browsing a remote FTP server, opening the file on the server, then uploading changes on saving the file. That would make a bad ass feature for web developers. Currently, no way to display a file in the Sidebar that “virtually exists” ie the list of files/folders on the FTP server and interacting with it to make this a reality. So just like Opening a Folder in the Sidebar, you can open a folder on the Remote Server. This is usually a very frustrating process for web developers, which are a huge chunk of the market for text editors, so I would even advice integrating this into Sublime as a core feature as it would push a lot of people to using it as their main editor.

I’d love to see FTP integration into the sidebar. About 95% of the time I use SVN - but every now and then the need crops up to use FTP. Unfortunatley I have to jump back to Coda for this.
