Perhaps BracketHighlighter?

I don’t think so. It looks like something is trying to lint? Maybe the Tag plugin?

Why don’t you list what plugins you have, and then we can tell you what it might be.

Well, I have the Tag package installed. I tried disabling it and restarting ST. The orange dot was gone. Re-enabled it, restarted. Orange dot still gone. Oh well, at least now it’s out of the way.

Thanks for the help.

Perhaps a Mark?

Ctrl-K, Ctrl-Space (or Edit, Mark, Set Mark).

Tag uses the orange dot on unclosed tags. So if you’ve got a

but no corresponding
it’ll put a dot (and the orange box outline) at the location of the opening tag. Probably somewhere in there it tripped up on a non-html file, but it’s actually pretty useful when editing HTML.

I think there’s a bit of a bug in the tag linter in the tag plugin.

I had an erroneous orange dot that shouldn’t have been there, after doing:

Edit -> Tag -> Tag Lint

it dissappeared.

Now I’m happy
