"Added Open in Browser context menu for HTML files"

#1

Hello.

Today’s dev build says “Added Open in Browser context menu for HTML files”.
Where the heck is that? Is it configurable to shortcuts? Can I specify a URL like localhost/file?

Thanks.

Not working for me here, OS 10.7.4, 2206. I see the menu item but no browser ever opens.

I’ve installed 2207 on both Windows and Mac, and I’m not seeing an “open in browser” context menu item in either of them.

Right click on the document window, where the code is.

Oh I see. Thanks. I wouldn’t have thought of looking on that menu. Strange that it isn’t in the obvious place on the context menu for the file.

Yeah, not the most intuitive of places.
I’d say a keyboard shortcut would be better.
There should be one for simply opening the file in its location (file:///C:/etc/file.html) and one for opening it in a server context (localhost/project-folder/file.html).

You’re welcome. Still not working for me though.

I have 2210 on Winx64. I cannot see this option in any context menu. If the document window means the main edit screen of any HTML file, then it definitely is not there. I only see:

  • Cut
  • Copy
  • Paste
  • Show unsaved changes
  • Select all
  • Open containing folder
  • Copy file path
  • Reveal in side bar
    (some options are greyed out)
