Hi I Would like to have the option to recreate last selection.
This should be possible in both vintage and not.

in vintage it should use the vim command => gv

it would be awesome

cmd/ctrl+u is soft undo and should do the trick.

May I ask you what the use of this command except for the case when you inadvertently hit the wrong key that remove your selection and want it back ?
For this case, as senzo already answered, soft undo work fine.

For a more specific case, writing a plugin that use the on_selection_modified event look not so hard.

I guess that its not needed with the soft-undo.
