Edit root files in linux

#1

I read that this had been implemented in build 2147, but it seems its only been implemented for osx! using sublime under linux there seems to be no way to edit files that need root access, since “sudo subl” doesn’t work. This is a rather large functionality gap. I would love to see this feature in linux (and is a very needed feature)

I have noticed too in Ubuntu 12.04 with Sublime Text 2216 that the editor doesn’t “know” to edit root files from a restricted user, while in OS X it neatly asks for password upon save. The inconvenient workaround for this is quitting sublime text and starting it with sudo and the root file.

A feature request has been created for this issue: Prompt if need elevated permission to save on Windows (and Linux if that also doesn’t work)
