How to Disable Windows' ALT+key binds?

#1

Hello everyone,
I’m loving Sublime Text!

I’ve searched on this here and on general web and while I’ve found some conversations that skirt the topic - none have a direct/specific answer. I don’t want to disable all Windows shortcuts, nor do I want to figure out a bunch of weird AutoHotKey scripts (if I can avoid it). My quest is simple… how do I prevent Windows ALT+key bindings from overriding my Sublime Text ALT+key binds? It seems like most Sublime Text key binds that use the ALT key get cancelled out and/or open one of the menu bar menus when running on a Windows machine.

Please someone tell me how to disable this so Sublime has full access to all ALT+key binds!

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

You could try AutoHotKey to trap Alt+key events and send them directly to Sublime. By the way, it’s possible to do that only if a Sublime window is active, leaving the system in general untouched.
