Screen white out

#1

Hi All,

I love sublime text and I’m prepared to pay up straight away, save for one problem that I have which stops me using it entirely. When the editor isn’t in focus, or I hit cntrl-f, the screen ‘whites out’ and I lose control of the cursor. By removing the focus (clicking away) and back again things go back to normal.

This is happening on my VMWare install of MS Windows XP Pro 32bit, but not my pure MS Windows XP Home 32bit laptop.

I am a python developer so I have python on my path (and I use py2exe) but I carefully keep my PYTHONPATH away from other programs. Has anyone seen this before, and does anyone know how I can fix this? I’ve attached a screen grab to show you:

Ouch! Thanks, Dan

PS I am using the latest beta, but the stable version 1.2.2 also gave me this problem.

Did you try running it with --opengl?

Bingo! That’s fixed it. Shame on me for not reading the FAQ, thanks for your help, now it’s time to dust off the PayPal account!

Thanks again, Dan.
