Move marked text with cursor keys

I would like to see, that I could move some marked text directly with the cursor keys maybe with some additional keys.
Of course I can use the mouse or cut/paste , but it was just little idea i got while my work.

I believe you mean a drag&drop behavior but with the keys instead of the mouse correct?

OK, well, let's hope that John sees this post, or that somebody makes a package for this.

Although as far as I know, it's faster to use the mouse on this, not the rest, but this is pretty fast with the mouse.
