SOLVED-impossible to move the cursor with mouse openSUSE12.2

#1

hi everybody,
i’ve installed openSUSE 12.2 x64 with KDE on my notebook recently and, as in every other OS i have on my computers, i needed to use this wonderful text editor.
the problem is, i cannot select any text or move the pointer in any place using my mouse or the touchpad.
i can scroll the page (either with the wheel or clicking on the map and dragging the selection), i can use the menu bar on top, i can expand or collapse the functon clicking on the smal triangle on their side, i can do everything but selecting text and positioning the cursor.
this happens only on this OS: on Windows 7, Ubuntu 10.10 and Fedora 17 or 16 (whatever it is) everything is working fine.

(except for dragging text which never worked to me in any situation)

thanks in advance for your help

To work around this problem you can follow the following procedure:

apology post this in Spanish, but it is not hard to understand, I hope :stuck_out_tongue:

Regards.

thank you very much: it works fine now!
the reason why this problem doesn’t show up in Ubuntu 10.10 (Gnome), Fedora 16 (XFCE) and Ubuntu 12.04 (KDE) is beyond me
