[RESOLVED] How to scroll the document with the keyboard?

#1

Hello,

I’m new to Sublime Text. I’ve tried the editor several times before but I wasn’t ready to leave Notepad++. I was mainly disappointed because the macros seem buggy and I was using these a lot at the time. Now I gave the editor another try and so far I’m delighted. I need some help though. In Scintilla based editors like Notepad++ you have this feature that you can scroll the document up/down with the keyboard without moving the cursor. It is done by pressing Ctrl + Up/Down. It is extremely handy because when you type near the border of the document you can scroll and see further without the need of leaving the keyboard to touch the mouse and without moving the cursor from what you are typing. In Sublime Text Ctrl + Up/Down does nothing though and I couldn’t find how to do. It there a similar shortcut and if not is it possible to create one somehow?

Regards,
bobef

It’s working the same in ST2.
If ctrl+up/down doesn’t work for you it’s probably related to a plugin that steal these keybindings.

edit:
do you use Emmet ?

Yep, I think it was Emmet that was stealing my keys. Sorry for the spam.
