Text Cursor is a box

Text Cursor is a box

Postby Citizen86 on Mon Dec 17, 2012 8:26 pm

Hey everyone,

Quick question: For some reason, ST2 has decided to give me a colored box as a text cursor instead of the normal single line. I find it very distracting. This is what I mean:

Anyone know how to get it back to normal?

I tried playing with the caret options, but nothing seemed to help.

I reverted to a fresh install, so that took care of it... I also found out the ZenCoding has changed to Emmet, so that is a good plus.

There's a plugin called SublimeBlockCursor, perhaps you had it installed.

I have the exact same problem. All of the sudden the cursor changed to this block cursor style. And I do not have any plugin installed. Would appreciate it if someone could help me figure this out.

I have the same issue with my installation. One day the cursor decided to just change to a box. No extra plugins were installed either.

This is caused by a plugin, follow these instructions to revert to a clean state: http://www.sublimetext.com/docs/2/revert.html

Thanks jps. That's what I ended up doing. I probably should have started removing one plugin at a time to try to identify the plugin that's causing it, but oh well
