Add some space before the text for the first several lines?

Especially the first line is hard to read, it's so close to the tabs(or menus).
I have to add a extra space line at first. That's bad habbit, I think..
So I suppose allowing more space above the text(just like it does delow the text) would help.

I mean while we have "scroll_past_end" by now, why not add an option such as "scroll_past_start" or some thing like that,
so that the first line is much easy to read.
