How do I prevent ST2 from highlighting trailing spaces?

#1

This started all of a sudden in plain text and markdown files and I find it very annoying. I really don’t want to see it and it highlights spaces between words as I type (although it disappears once I start a new word) slowing everything down. I’ve pored over my settings and plugins and cannot figure it out for the life of me. How do I remove it?

It’s not built in. What plugins do you have?

I’ve tried disabling all of the ones that pad white spaces, remove trailing white spaces etc but no dice. Here is my current list of packages.
