After finding text, start editing without a mouse click?

#1

Hi,

I’m a new user of ST2. I’m really loving it, but there’s one thing I haven’t figured out yet:

After finding some text with CTRL+F and F3, I want to start editing at the found point. But if I just start typing, it adds to the search term, not to the found text. ENTER and the arrow keys don’t work – they rotate between occurrences of the search term. What key can I press to start editing at the found point, without a mouse click?

Thanks, Alex

Would incremental search work for you?

You can start an incremental search with Ctrl + I and use “enter” to end.

You can press Escape in the regular find panel for this

Thanks, guys! I find it interesting that the “incremental search” panel works differently from the “regular search” panel… anyways, my problem is solved now! Thanks again…
