Mouse ignored in editor

#1

My mouse is totally unresponsive (no clicks, scroll wheel, etc) in the editor portion of the window. Everything else responds fine to the mouse: line numbers/code folding area, mini-map, sidebar, menu bar, etc. It had been working fine up until today. I have tried rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. This issue sounds similar to this one.

Please help! This is totally destroying my productivity at work!

Some details about my system:

  • I purchased a registered version.
  • I’m running build 2220.
  • I’m running Windows XP S3.

Several reasons:

  • Because it was posted nearly 5 months ago (October)
  • Different version of STE: I’m running build 2220.
  • My problem is slightly different. I can use Vintage mode.
  • I’m using a different operating system. Windows XP, not Windows 7.
  • That post seems to have been ignored (6 posts, 0 solutions) by the developers.

I have an update that should be helpful. The problem has to do with the way that Windows handles loading the mouse. My wireless mouse has started behaving strangely. When I first plug it into the computer mouse clicks don’t work with most applications. However, after time these applications recover and mouse clicking functionality is restored. Unfortunately Sublime Text does not recover from the initial problem.

I’m going to try a few more things tonight to see if I can fix it. For the time being the “hack fix” is to not use this oddly behaving mouse.
