ST3 does not allow pasting of license key

#1

Windows 7 64 bit w/ SP1
ST3 Build 3008

When sublime text 3 opens, the “Enter License” dialog does not allow you to paste a license into the box. I can type in the box but pasting does not work.

I was able to paste in my license key yesterday. Did you try pasting it into notepad? Copying it from the email had problems for me. I had to paste it into notepad and fix up the carriage returns. After that, it was fine.

That did it. Thanks.

What email client are you using? It’d be nice to avoid this issue in the future.

I’ve copied directly from gmail (using chrome on linux/windows) with no issues. What browser/OS are you using?

Same problem here (7 years later). Pasting from mail, pasting to various other plain-text tools (including SublimeText itself!), then recopying from there and pasting that, all don’t work. On Windows it pastes as if there were no line-breaks (even though it pastes anywhere and the linebreaks are right; on Mac it won’t paste at all.
