"--data" command line flag not working

#1

Hey everyone,

I’m attempting to use the --data command line flag to change the data directory ST2 uses, but I’m having no luck at getting it to work.
(reference here: sublimetext.com/docs/command-line)

Has anyone confirmed that this flag works? I’ve tried executing ST2 from cmd with the flag, as well as modifying the shortcut file to execute ST2 with the flag.
ST2 just appears to open a new file using the folder name I provided with the --data flag…

I’d love to have this work (all alternate solutions aside (ex. using file/folder links or syncing folders)).

Many Thanks!

…I believe those docs are still from ST1.

This command line should be supported even for the portable version. First it’s documented, but more importantly it’s useful. For example it allows me to create a launcher that can run x86/x64 with extra PATH and keep the same Data folder for both (without moving folders around).
