Specifically this refers to Bodhi Linux (based on 12.04) and Mint (13). If I download the tarball unpack it and just run the install script all is fine, ‘sublime_text’ brings up the Sublime Text interface. But if I try to create a launcher for this I get some weird error messages and no Sublime. The executable is located in ~/Sublime Text 2/ but even when that is in the path entering ‘sublime_text’ in the launcher config file doesn’t work. Any suggestions before I go digging very deep to solve this? I suspect the Launcher is not using my login path but rather a system path to apps etc.

I used this link as install instructiosns for Sublime Text on my Ubuntu machine (specifically step 4). I can’t promise it will work, but thought I would put it out there (as to hopefully prevent you from having to dig to deeply).
